Angel Mercado serves as Director of Regulatory Affairs and Compliance at WB Blends, bringing more than 11 years of experience in regulatory affairs, quality, and compliance, along with a leadership background developed through military service and global regulatory management.
In his role, Angel leads the Regulatory Affairs and Compliance Team as well as the Label and Document Control Team. He oversees label compliance, supplier qualification, regulatory risk management, certification programs, and serves as a regulatory advisor to teams across the organization. He is passionate about helping people grow, developing future leaders, and building systems that support the company’s long-term success.
Outside of work, Angel enjoys staying active, competing in Spartan Races, traveling, and spending time with his family. He has visited more than 20 countries and considers a recent family trip to Japan one of his most memorable experiences. Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Angel credits his love of music, culture, and dancing to his roots.
