Why California brands manufacture outside the state

Turnkey

We source ingredients, supply packaging, run production, test each lot and ship shelf ready product. You approve the spec, the claims and the artwork. Useful when your team would rather manage demand than manage a bill of materials.

Tolling

You supply material, packaging, or both. It can be one botanical extract or the entire formula. We provide the certified facility, the processing, the testing and the paperwork.

Tolling fits California brands importing through Los Angeles or Long Beach. Material can move inland on the I-15 lane straight from drayage instead of landing in a Southern California warehouse, sitting, and then heading east. One less handling point, one less storage bill.

A day on the floor, before you move a single SKU

No brand should move production on the strength of a slide deck. California is a short morning flight from Salt Lake City, and our campus is about an hour south of the airport on I-15, which makes a real visit a one day exercise rather than a trip.

We would rather you come before the purchase order than after the first complaint. Most visits end with the spec conversation already settled.

The testing file California buyers ask to see

Every finished lot is tested for heavy metals including arsenic, cadmium, mercury and lead via ICP/MS, along with total aerobic microbial count, yeast and mold, coliforms, E. coli and salmonella. Results are recorded in a Finished Product Specification that belongs to you and travels with the order.

Roughly one in ten of our people work in quality only. Our lab has sent thousands of shipments to ISO accredited partners, worked through Amazon’s requirements and built deep experience with Eurofins. We supply the analytical data. Decisions about Proposition 65 warnings, label copy and regulatory positioning stay with your team and your counsel, which is where they belong.

Are you a California based supplement manufacturer?

No. Manufacturing, lab and warehousing are all in Spanish Fork, Utah. We manufacture for California brands and ship into the state on a scheduled delivery date, with the whole production run staying inside one facility and one quality system.

Can you give us heavy metal data for a Proposition 65 assessment?

Yes. Each lot is tested by ICP/MS for arsenic, cadmium, mercury and lead, with the numbers recorded per lot rather than reported as a pass or fail. California’s safe harbor level for lead is 0.5 micrograms per day under OEHHA rules, so your regulatory team or counsel makes the warning decision using the actual figures. We supply data, not legal opinions.

Do you manufacture liquid supplements for California brands?

Yes. Tinctures extracted in water, glycerin or alcohol, syrups, mineral suspensions and oil blends, filled from 5ml to 32oz in HDPE, PET or glass with dropper or phenolic closures. Liquids are one of our three core formats, not a side line.

We already use a California co-packer. Can you take part of our production?

That is a common arrangement. Brands often move one format or one SKU family here to free up capacity elsewhere or to build a second source. Formula ownership stays with you either way, documented in the Finished Product Specification.

Can you support organic, vegan and Non-GMO claims for California retail?

Yes. We hold OTCO organic certification and run Pullulan for organic and HPMC for vegan capsule claims, along with Gluten-Free, Non-GMO Project Verified and Vegetarian claims. Every claim is confirmed at quoting so it is built into the spec instead of added later.

Who handles California label review and regulatory sign off?

You do, with your own regulatory support. We document composition, potency, testing criteria and packaging in your Finished Product Specification and manufacture against it. Label claims and state level compliance remain your brand’s responsibility.
